Doodle

I was bored so I started doodling with my wacom and this came out... I really should practice more on PS with my wacom tablet, I hardly ever use it!! =S

I'm having some lack of motivation issues with my art and other projects in my life....

I think I need some time alone to think how to make this situation better...

sooo... I've been completely irresponsible and haven't uploaded a thing ever again... don't even have much followers, probably because of that, in fact, they are all argentinians as of this moment, so I should be writing in spanish only... but I have hope that some day I'll have more... so... english it is.



anyways this is something i've done in sculptris, which is a nice little free modelling program which doesn't enable one to do much more than that: modelling. it doesn't have animation or complex edition tools, but it is nice to play around and easy to pick up... it allows OBJ import/export operations so one may do a nice little model here and then modify it in 3DS, blender, etc... so that's nice... speaking of blender, I still have to try it out... I'll try and do that tomorrow or on monday to see how possible it is to make a skinning operation in blender.. I tried it out once in 3DStudio using the biped presets... it was fairly easy but I'm aiming to a much cheaper, as in "free" kind of program... since I have no resources to buy a license that expensive... right now at least. This model was made as a test for this program's capabilities, I'll keep working on it and see If I can make a whole body out of it (already tried it twice but ended up screwing it up and the program has some situations in which you can't go back so make sure to save often!!). if it works fine I should be able to skin it later and make some cool animations for a game a couple of friends and I want to make... but that is a looooooooooooooooooong term project so I won't get into details right now.

Rogue WIP 2

Lowered the head a bit (thank god for photoshop xD) finished the body... probably going to change something in her ... "boots"? eventually, I'm not quite satisfied with their current look. My internet connection is working backwards right now and I get bored easily without using the Messenger so I guess I'll go play something, see you guys tomorrow! (or maybe on saturday, I think I'm going out with some work buddies tomorrow after office hours ^^)

Rogue WIP

WIP, started it like 40 minutes ago, It's based on a drawing I made today in a little sketch book I have, made in photoshop CS4.

Will go on tomorrow ^^ the idea is to try to cell shade it and paint it to practice using te wacom

Thor - Stamp

Supposedly a stamp-formatted drawing of thor... came out really untidy so I don't like a lot of things in this drawing but I still had fun and experimented a lot in it... the next one I ever do with this technique will probably be a lot smaller (this is larger than A4 paper).

Supuestamente un dibujo con formato de estampilla... salio muy desprolijo asique hay mucho que no me gusta de él pero aun asi me diverti y experimente bastante en el... el proximo que haga de esta forma seguro sea mucho mas chico (este era mas grande que A4).

Scubba Zombie Time!

Sooo, I was gonna Update some stuff I hadn't scanned nor uploaded - makes sense huh? - to deviantart yet but apparently the scanner doesn't feel like working so I'll update this quickie, sketchy spritesheet I did last thursday to test some animation stuff I've been doing for work. It was fun!, I hope I can refine it with some pixel art later, but I'll have to get the arms and legs on separate frames because if not, it's overlap fest!

Anyways, hope you like it!

BTW, I'll upload some stuff as soon as I get the scanner working or somehow manage to take good photos of my drawings.

Pensaba subir varias cosas que no habia escaneado ni subido - tiene sentido verdad? - a deviantart, pero aparentemente a mi scanner no le interesa funcionar asique subo este rapido y bocetoso spritesheet que hice para poder usarlo de prueba en unas animaciones y cosas que estoy haciendo en el trabajo. Fue divertido y espero poder refinarlo un poco con algo de pixel art, pero para eso voy a tener que separar los brazos y piernas en distintos cuadros porque sino se llena de superposiciones!

Como sea, ojala les guste!

Por cierto, cuando pueda hacer andar el scanner o cuando de alguna forma logre sacarle una buena foto a mis dibujos subire algo mas; saludos!

Soooo, I've been wanting to start a blog for a while now but I wanted to do it with a BANG; like, a really cool drawing or something of sorts. Sadly, that isn't actually happening, so I'll post my latest WIP (hopefully I'll get to finish this one...). It's being done with a Wacom Intuous 4 Large tablet (my latest acquisition) and It's style and general idea was based on the knowledge I'm acquiring at Sotano Blanco's Graphic Storytelling course and Randis Albion's online tutorials on facebook (http://www.facebook.com/pages/HD-FORTRESSCOM/164621271889?ref=mf ; Randi's work may be seen here: http://randis.deviantart.com or at his personal website http://hd-fortress.com/). It's a redesign of a character I've seen on a webpage a friend of mine Is going to work on, just for fun, and well, also because he told me I could help him if he were to redesign the characters on the web.

I think It's going somewhere... still got a lot to practice with my tablet though... It handles awesomely but nothing compares to good ol' paper and pen / pencil. I'll try to post any new stuff I draw but I'll probably start by scanning a couple of old drawings which I consider worthy of at least being checked out.

Bueno, hace un tiempo ya que quiero hacerme un blog, pero queria empezarlo con un BANG; algo asi como un dibujo espectacular o algo por el estilo. Por desgracia eso no esta sucediendo asique decidi subir este dibujo en progreso (que ojala lo termine). Lo estoy haciendo con mi Wacom Intuous 4 Large (mi mas nueva adquisicion) y su estilo e idea general fue basado en los conocimientos que voy adquiriendo en el curso que estoy haciendo en Sotano Blanco de Relato Gráfico y en unos tutoriales online hechos por Randis Albion, los cuales subió en facebook (http://www.facebook.com/pages/HD-FORTRESSCOM/164621271889?ref=mf ; las cosas de Randis pueden ser vistas en: http://randis.deviantart.com o en su página personal: http://hd-fortress.com/). El dibujo es un rediseño de un personaje de una página en la que esta trabajando un amigo, solo por diversion, y bueno, también porque me dijo que podía ayudarlo si alguna vez le tocaba rediseñar los personajes.

Creo que va bien, todavia me falta mucha practica con la tablet, se maneja muy bien pero nada como el buen papel y lapiz / birome. Voy a tratar de postear cosas nuevas que vaya haciendo pero seguramente para empezar suba algunos dibujos viejos que creo son dignos de al menos ser vistos...
